Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Migration Specialist to manage the migration of Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS RDS. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with AWS DMS, Terraform, and database performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and oversee migrations of Oracle and SQL Server databases to AWS RDS.
- Use AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) for large-scale data migrations.
- Implement database migrations with minimal downtime and ensure data integrity.
- Perform database performance tuning, backups, and recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience with AWS cloud solutions, particularly with database migrations.
- Proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server DBA tasks.
- Hands-on experience with AWS DMS, CloudFormation, and Terraform (Terraform certification is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of database architecture and automation tools.
- AWS certification is preferred.
Key HandsβOn Experience Required:
- Cloud resource provisioning using Terraform.
- Experience with Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) during database migration.
- Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL database monitoring.
- Experience with lift-and-shift migration methods using AWS DMS.
