About the Role

We are looking for a Bilingual WMS System Support Engineer with strong IT skills and experience supporting Manhattan Active WMS at a logistics site in Yotsukaido, Chiba.

The role involves working closely with onsite users, global support teams and development teams to support a leading retail brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for incident analysis, system configuration and testing, problem resolution, root cause analysis and coordination with relevant teams to ensure issues are resolved within agreed SLAs.

This is a fully onsite role and requires working different shifts on a rotational basis, including weekend support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide IT and Manhattan Active WMS support at the logistics site.
• Coordinate with onsite users, offshore support teams and development teams.
• Perform the initial review and research of reported incidents.
• Analyse system issues and define appropriate resolution approaches.
• Configure and test system changes as required.
• Work collaboratively with Manhattan when additional product-level support or resolution is required.
• Define business logic for requests and system changes.
• Provide detailed analysis of problems to Manhattan to support resolution.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide resolution within the agreed SLA.
• Support team members with RCA and resolution activities.
• Take the lead and accountability for P1/P2 incidents.
• Support the end-to-end flow of Manhattan Active WMS and troubleshoot issues across key warehouse processes.

Manhattan Active WMS Knowledge

Strong knowledge of the end-to-end flow of Manhattan Active WMS is mandatory.

The candidate should have knowledge of issues related to, but not limited to:

• Receiving.
• Putaway.
• Waving.
• Allocating.
• Task management.
• Replenishments.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Good understanding of databases and database-related concepts.
• Knowledge of Manhattan Active WMS end-to-end processes is mandatory.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with onsite users, offshore support teams and development teams.
• ITIL knowledge is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with incident review, analysis, configuration and testing.
• Ability to investigate problems and drive issues through to resolution.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in both Japanese and English.

Desirable Skills

Work Conditions

This is an onsite role, with no remote working option.

The position requires working onsite 5 days a week.

Shift work will be conducted on a rotational basis:

• Shift 1: 8:00 to 17:00 JST.
• Shift 2: 11:00 to 20:00 JST.

Weekend support is required on a rotational basis:

• Weekend shift: 8:00 to 18:00 JST.

There is no regular overtime.

Overtime may be applicable for weekend shift work.

Additional overtime may be requested a few times a year in cases such as system upgrades or maintenance activities.

The role requires a proactive approach to incident management, system analysis, teamwork and communication, along with the ability to take ownership of critical issues and work effectively with both local and global support teams.
