About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to lead and deliver large-scale Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations and transformation programmes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Functional Consultant in Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) and Dynamics NAV (Navision), combined with strong solution architecture and leadership experience. The role requires a proven track record of delivering end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, particularly within the Finance module, as well as experience migrating organisations from non-BC ERP platforms to Business Central.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers and business stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, lead workshops and guide implementation programmes from discovery through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture and functional consulting activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.
• Work closely with finance teams, controllers, operations and accounting stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Business Central solutions.
• Lead customer workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, solution design discussions and stakeholder meetings for large-scale Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.
• Define solution architecture aligned with customer business requirements and Dynamics 365 Business Central capabilities.
• Provide functional and architectural leadership across Business Central implementation programmes.
• Support the design and delivery of Finance-focused Business Central solutions.
• Lead and support migration projects involving the transition from non-BC ERP platforms to BC ERP.
• Provide guidance on enterprise integration architecture and integration requirements.
• Work with integration platforms and technologies including REST APIs, web services and middleware such as MuleSoft.
• Support customers and implementation teams in making appropriate architecture and solution decisions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 15+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant in Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) and Dynamics NAV (Navision).
• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Consultant.
• Proven experience delivering at least 5 end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects, particularly with the Finance module.
• Hands-on experience in at least 3 migration projects involving migration from non-BC ERP platforms to BC ERP.
• Strong experience leading customer workshops and requirement-gathering sessions.
• Experience working closely with stakeholders across:
  • Finance.
  • Controllers.
  • Operations.
  • Accounting.
• Experience leading solution design discussions and stakeholder meetings for large-scale Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms using:
  • REST APIs.
  • Web services.
  • Middleware, including MuleSoft.
• Extensive experience across multiple Dynamics NAV and Business Central versions.
• Strong knowledge of the core functional modules across Dynamics NAV and Business Central.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate should combine deep functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV with strong solution architecture and stakeholder management capabilities.

You should be comfortable working directly with customers, facilitating workshops, understanding complex business requirements and translating them into practical, scalable Business Central solutions.

Experience across implementation, migration, integration and Finance-focused Business Central programmes will be particularly valuable.
