Role Overview
Join Web Synergies as a Big Data Developer to craft innovative solutions in the Hadoop ecosystem. Weβre seeking a motivated professional to design, implement, and optimise scalable applications, leveraging expertise in Big Data technologies and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable, robust, and maintainable concurrent software systems.
- Design application solutions within the Hadoop ecosystem.
- Develop deep expertise in Hive, HDFS, YARN, Spark, Spark SQL, Scala, and PySpark.
- Optimise performance using HDFS file formats such as Parquet and ORC.
- Automate deployments and controls with Jenkins, ADO, and Bitbucket.
- Create and manage Control-M development and monitor resource utilisation with Grafana.
- Work on data integration using tools like Dataiku and FileIT/MQ.
Mandatory Skills:
- Big Data: Hive, HDFS, Spark, Scala, PySpark.
Preferred Skills:
- Schedulers (Control-M), ETL tools (Dataiku), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Jira, ADO), Unix/Shell scripting, Oracle database, and integration services (FileIT/MQ).
