Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (Banking Domain) to lead and deliver large-scale banking technology initiatives. This role requires expertise in core banking systems, payments integration, APIs, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management within financial institutions. Priority will be given to professionals ready to relocate to Singapore from anywhere in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of banking technology projects across Core Banking, Payments, and Digital Banking platforms
• Manage system integration initiatives involving REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, ESB (MuleSoft, Apigee), and third-party vendors
• Coordinate with compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory alignment
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management
• Drive Agile and Waterfall methodologies based on project requirements
• Manage cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, and infrastructure specialists
• Ensure comprehensive documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication
• Monitor performance metrics, timelines, and quality standards

Core Banking & Financial Systems Expertise

• Hands-on experience with Temenos, Finacle, FLEXCUBE, or equivalent Core Banking platforms
• Strong understanding of the banking transaction lifecycle
• Exposure to digital banking platforms

Payments & Integration

• Knowledge of SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA, RTGS or equivalent systems
• API integration expertise (REST/SOAP)
• Middleware / ESB platforms (MuleSoft, Apigee)
• Understanding of microservices architecture

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git)
• Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server)

Security & Compliance

• Knowledge of PCI-DSS standards
• AML / KYC systems
• Regulatory reporting systems
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles

Required Experience

• 8+ years of IT experience
• 4+ years as Technical Project Manager in Banking or Financial Services
• Experience managing multi-vendor and offshore delivery models
• Experience working on regulatory-driven projects
• Strong risk and issue management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification
• Experience working with Japanese banks or financial institutions
• Familiarity with Japan FSA regulations
• Business-level Japanese language proficiency
