Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Operations Resource to join our Application and Production Support team. This role focuses on managing Linux and Windows environments, Azure cloud operations, server configuration, application and database monitoring, and automation using scripting and CI/CD pipelines. The position requires working in rotational shifts to ensure uninterrupted 24x7 production support.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage server setup and configuration across Linux and Windows environments.
• Handle Azure subscriptions and maintain batch jobs, including triage of batch-related issues.
• Configure, manage, and maintain web servers such as Tomcat and IIS.
• Manage SSL certificates including installation, renewal, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain Jenkins scripts and pipelines for automated build and deployment.
• Oversee encryption and decryption key management to ensure secure data handling.
• Monitor production batch jobs, scheduling, and workflow automation.
• Detect, monitor, and provide initial triage for production issues across web, application, and database servers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support code migration processes (DSO Process).
• Use ticketing tools such as BMC or ServiceNow for issue tracking and resolution.
• Participate in rotational shift support to ensure 24x7 production availability.

Primary / Mandatory Skills

• Strong proficiency in shell scripting (Unix/Linux).
• Sound knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipeline scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud platform and subscription management.
• Experience configuring Linux servers, Tomcat, and IIS web servers.
• Good knowledge of SQL for database queries and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in SSL certificate management.

Additional / Desired Skills

• Exposure to code scanning and dynamic security scanning tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and build tools like Maven.
• Experience in application and server performance tuning and optimisation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to Oracle Database administration or support is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
