Role Overview

Web Synergies is looking for an experienced SAP R2R FI Solution Architect to lead SAP S/4HANA solution architecture for Japan deployment and global template enhancements within a large-scale automotive manufacturing programme.

This strategic role focuses on solution architecture, template governance, localisation design, integrated architecture, and compliance with Japanese statutory and accounting requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, global process owners and technical teams to deliver scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions across the full project lifecycle.

Role Objectives

• Lead SAP S/4HANA deployment and global template enhancements for large-scale manufacturing programmes in Japan.
• Drive solution architecture, template governance and localisation design.
• Provide architectural direction and support successful solution implementation through development teams.

Core Expertise

• End-to-end SAP S/4HANA solution architecture.
• SAP S/4HANA implementation and support project experience.
• Strong configuration and functional expertise in:
• SAP FI – General Ledger (FI-GL)
• SAP FI – Accounts Payable (FI-AP)
• SAP FI – Accounts Receivable (FI-AR)
• SAP FI – Asset Accounting (FI-AA)
• Strong understanding of Japanese tax legislation and accounting procedures.
• Experience with financial closing, statutory reporting and financial reporting.
• Ability to ensure data consistency and integrity across integrated SAP modules.
• Proven architectural leadership across enterprise value streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Solution Discovery, Standard Conformity Workshops and Architecture Design for the Japan deployment.
• Act as the solution design authority, approving solution deviations and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
• Define and manage integrated architectures across SAP and non-SAP systems, including MES, PMC, legacy systems and third-party applications.
• Provide clear architectural direction and support successful build implementation.
• Collaborate with Japanese business stakeholders, Global Process Owners and IT leadership teams.
• Lead programme delivery across Blueprint, Build, Test, Cutover and Go-Live phases.
• Ensure compliance with Japanese business processes, statutory regulations, audit requirements and internal controls.

Industry Experience

Essential

• Large-scale Manufacturing or Automotive industry experience.

Additional Experience

• Discrete manufacturing.
• Supply chain and production planning.
• Quality management, logistics and cost management.
• Japanese manufacturing standards and operational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering multi-country SAP S/4HANA deployments using a single global template.
• Experience working with Japanese OEMs and Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
• SAP S/4HANA certification.
