Role Overview

Web Synergies is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, deploying and operating highly available, secure and scalable multi-cloud SaaS infrastructure across global regions.

The successful candidate will work closely with Software Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), Product Management and Customer Support teams to build reliable cloud platforms, automate operational processes and continuously improve system performance, reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain and continuously improve multi-cloud, multi-region SaaS infrastructure across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters deployed across the United States, Europe and Asia, ensuring high availability, security and scalability.
• Design and optimise cloud architecture to support global customer growth and platform reliability.
• Own and enhance Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, enabling automated software delivery with minimal manual intervention.
• Develop infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform, Ansible and Helm.
• Build internal automation tools to improve engineering productivity and eliminate repetitive operational tasks.
• Establish and maintain observability standards, including:
  • Monitoring
  • Logging
  • Metrics
  • Distributed tracing
  • Alerting
• Monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks and proactively mitigate capacity or reliability risks.
• Lead incident response, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and post-incident improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with application engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in production on-call rotations.
• Prepare and maintain operational documentation, runbooks and engineering best practices.
• Promote Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and best practices across engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with:

• Kubernetes
• Helm
• Terraform
• Ansible

Strong experience with cloud platforms:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Microsoft Azure

Experience managing enterprise-scale data platforms, including:

• SQL databases
• NoSQL databases
• Key-value stores
• Messaging systems (AMQP, MQTT)

Experience with observability platforms, including:

• Prometheus
• Grafana
• Mimir
• Thanos

Strong understanding of:

• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Infrastructure Automation
• High Availability
• Scalability
• Disaster Recovery
• Performance Optimisation
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Programming & Scripting

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Go
• Python
• TypeScript
• Bash

Language Requirements

Business-level English

• Communicate effectively with global engineering teams.
• Prepare and maintain English technical documentation and knowledge bases.

Business-level Japanese

• Communicate effectively with Japanese customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain Japanese technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of container networking and service mesh technologies.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with GitOps methodologies.
• Experience improving developer productivity through Platform Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
