Project Overview

Web Synergies is seeking two experienced Bilingual Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud Developers to support a leading retail marketplace customer in Japan.

This role focuses on building, optimising, and maintaining Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud solutions, including customer journeys, personalisation, data ingestion, segmentation, and activation. The successful candidates will contribute to high-quality, scalable, and reusable MarTech solutions while ensuring performance and privacy compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Development

• Implement and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud assets, including:
• Journey Builder
• Automation Studio
• Contact Builder
• AMPScript
• Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS)
• SQL Data Extension design and queries
• Email Studio
• Mobile Studio
• Distributed Marketing (where applicable)

Salesforce Data Cloud Configuration

• Configure and support:
• Data streams and data ingestion
• Data mapping
• Identity resolution rules
• Calculated insights
• Segmentation
• Activation across channels including:
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Advertising platforms
• Sales Cloud
• Service Cloud

Integration and Development

• Integrate Salesforce Core using Marketing Cloud Connect (MC Connect).
• Work with MuleSoft, APIs, SFTP, and ETL tools.
• Support event-driven integrations and real-time triggers.
• Develop reusable components, scripts, and frameworks.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and participate in code reviews.

Quality, Performance and Compliance

• Ensure email performance, deliverability, and rendering quality across devices and email clients.
• Apply best practices for dynamic content, error handling, and logging.
• Implement consent and preference management in compliance with APPI requirements.
• Manage Personally Identifiable Information (PII) using appropriate controls and governance measures.

Collaboration and Support

• Work closely with Architects, Project Managers, and QA teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide production support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• AMPScript
• SSJS
• SQL
• Journey Builder
• Automation Studio
• Contact Builder
• 1–3 years of Salesforce Data Cloud or Customer Data Platform (CDP) experience, including:
• Data ingestion
• Identity resolution
• Calculated insights
• Segmentation
• Activation
• Experience integrating Sales Cloud and Service Cloud with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Familiarity with MuleSoft and API integrations.
• Strong understanding of:
• Email deliverability
• Dynamic content
• Error handling
• Logging best practices
• Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2+).
• Business-level English communication skills.
