Project Overview

We are currently looking for experienced Site Data Migration Managers for a leading automobile parts company in Japan.

This role requires experienced professionals to lead and execute site-level SAP data migration activities across multiple customer locations. Travelling between assigned cities will be required; however, full-time residency is not mandatory.

  • Hitachinaka-shi, Ibaraki-ken & Isesaki-shi, Gunma-ken
  • Kakuda-shi, Miyagi-ken & Suzuka-shi, Mie-ken
  • Atsugi-shi, Kanagawa-ken

Work Model:

  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Travelling between assigned customer locations will be required

Role Summary

The Site Data Migration Manager will lead and execute all data migration activities within the assigned site cluster and act as the primary execution owner at site level.

The role requires strong coordination across business teams, site IT teams, and project consultants to ensure successful SAP data migration execution aligned with project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Data Migration Execution

  • Lead data mapping activities aligned with SAP migration requirements
  • Validate and improve data quality prior to migration activities
  • Lead all phases of data migration including:
    • Mapping
    • Development support
    • Testing
    • Mock0 migration rehearsals
    • Mock1 migration rehearsals

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Drive alignment with:
    • Business user teams
    • Site IT teams
    • Accenture project consultants
  • Act as the primary on-site lead for successful data migration execution
  • Ensure smooth collaboration between business and IT teams throughout the migration lifecycle

Project Management

  • Manage site-level schedules, project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Ensure migration activities progress according to approved plans and quality expectations
  • Report site status updates and escalate critical issues to overall programme management

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Experience in:
    • SAP implementation projects
    • SAP data migration projects
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Data mapping
    • Data quality validation
  • Knowledge or practical experience with migration tools such as:
    • Syniti

Project & Coordination Skills

  • Strong project management and coordination capabilities
  • Ability to bridge business and IT teams effectively
  • Experience managing migration schedules, dependencies, and issue resolution

Language Skills

  • Fluent Japanese communication skills (Mandatory)

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and ownership mindset
  • Proactive problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
