Role Overview
The Technical Lead will own the technical execution and engineering delivery of complex application and AI-enabled solutions across the software development lifecycle.
This role serves as the primary technical authority for the engineering team, translating architecture and business requirements into executable technical plans, ensuring delivery quality, and guiding engineers through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own technical execution across engineering workstreams
- Break down architecture into technical components, APIs, services, and engineering tasks
- Lead system design discussions across application, data, and integration layers
- Define and enforce engineering standards across development, testing, deployment, and documentation
- Guide and support junior, mid-level, and senior engineers in implementation and problem-solving
- Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards, maintainability, and architectural integrity
- Collaborate on AI application integration including LLM workflows, RAG pipelines, and agent orchestration
- Support effort estimation, dependency planning, and delivery sequencing
- Identify technical risks early and define mitigation strategies
- Oversee CI/CD implementation and deployment readiness
- Ensure observability, monitoring, and operational readiness
- Support incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Mentor engineers and improve team productivity through automation and engineering accelerators
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–10 years of software engineering experience
- 2–4 years of technical leadership experience
- Strong expertise in system design and application architecture
- Experience with microservices, API contracts, distributed systems, and event-driven patterns
- Strong backend development experience using Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with FastAPI or equivalent backend frameworks
- Working knowledge of React and modern frontend frameworks
- Knowledge of LLM-based application development, RAG architecture, and AI integration patterns
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, data modelling, and data flow design
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, and cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of TDD, unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
- Understanding of IAM, OAuth2, API security, access control, and secure application design
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, logging, monitoring, and production diagnostics
- Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills
