Project Overview

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented SAP R2R FI Test Consultant with 6–8 years of experience to lead quality assurance activities across core Financial Accounting tracks within an SAP S/4HANA Fiori environment.

The role involves designing, executing, and governing end-to-end testing activities for Record-to-Report (R2R) financial processes using Tricentis qTest, while ensuring compliance, integration accuracy, and high-quality financial process validation.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work extensively on SAP FI testing processes including:

  • General Ledger Accounting
  • Asset Accounting
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Financial consolidation and reconciliation

The role also requires expertise in SAP Fiori role-based validation, integration testing, and financial reporting quality assurance within enterprise SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities

FI Functional Test Design & Execution

  • Design and execute highly structured test cases for core R2R FI processes, including:
    • General Ledger & Financial Processing
    • General Ledger (G/L) Accounting
    • Journal voucher postings
    • Recurring entries
  • Accounting (AA)
    • Asset acquisitions
    • Asset transfers
    • Depreciation runs
    • Asset retirements
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable
    • Accounts Payable (AP) sub-ledger closing activities
    • Accounts Receivable (AR) sub-ledger closing activities
  • Financial Consolidation
    • Intercompany Reconciliation (ICR)
    • Foreign currency revaluation
    • Month-end financial consolidation
    • Year-end financial consolidation

SAP Fiori Launchpad & Role Validation

  • Execute role-based testing using SAP Fiori Apps for:
    • General Accountants
    • Asset Accountants
    • Financial Controllers
  • Validate custom role permissions and authorisation controls
  • Analyse missing authorisation objects using:
    • SU53
    • System traces

Test Management Using Tricentis qTest

  • Maintain the R2R FI test repository within Tricentis qTest
  • Build and manage Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM)
  • Map business requirements to test cases
  • Oversee defect lifecycle management directly within qTest

Integration & Interface Testing

  • Validate cross-module integration points including:
    • OTC Billing to FI-AR
    • P2P Invoicing to FI-AP
  • Verify data formatting and reconciliation across:
    • Banking platforms
    • Treasury systems
    • Tax platforms
    • Custom banking interfaces
  • Exposure to platforms such as:
    • Kyriba
    • OANDA

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 6–8 years of experience in IT QA and Testing
  • Minimum 5+ years focused specifically on SAP FI modules
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in:
    • SAP S/4HANA Fiori environments
    • Tricentis qTest

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of:
    • SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal architecture
    • Financial ledger configurations
    • Standard financial reporting compliance
  • Strong expertise in SAP FI testing methodologies and financial process validation

Documentation Expertise

  • Proven ability to create:
    • Detailed test scripts
    • Step descriptions
    • Data variants
    • Fiori App references
    • Expected Results documentation

Language Requirements

  • English: Business Level
  • Japanese: Optional
