Job Overview:

Web Synergies is seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis & Bilingual Project Manager to lead and coordinate SAP implementation and rollout projects. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Japanese and English, hold a JLPT N2 or N3 certification, and possess deep expertise in SAP Basis administration and project management.

You will act as a key liaison between Japanese business stakeholders and technical teams, managing project deliverables, Basis operations, and communications across global environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end SAP implementation and rollout projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Coordinate with Japan-based stakeholders and act as the bridge between business and Basis teams.
• Communicate effectively in Japanese and English, handling both written and verbal communication.
• Prepare technical documentation, progress reports, and presentations for management review.
• Oversee SAP Basis administration including system monitoring, issue resolution, and performance optimisation.
• Manage daily operations, troubleshooting, and coordination of Basis-related activities.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including asset allocation and tracking.
• Schedule and drive meetings, record action items, and follow up for closure.
• Provide interpretation and translation support as required during meetings or technical discussions.
• Plan project activities, track deliverables, and ensure alignment with client expectations.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years’ experience in project management within SAP environments; total experience 12+ years.
• Proven track record of handling SAP implementation/rollout projects.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP BTP.
• Hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, including system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Technical understanding of Basis concepts in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2/N3) and English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible shifts as per project requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience preparing detailed reports and project presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with multi-regional project coordination and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Exposure to OpenText or integration with external systems (advantageous).
