About the Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support IT and digital transformation initiatives within the Japanese pharmaceutical commercial environment. In this role, you will work closely with Japanese pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing teams to understand business requirements and translate them into clear requirements for BI visualisations.

You will act as a key link between business stakeholders and development teams in Japan and India, ensuring requirements are accurately documented, communicated and delivered. The role also involves validating solutions and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with Japanese pharmaceutical commercial Sales and Marketing business teams for user consultation and requirements gathering for BI visualisations in Japanese.
• Understand and capture business requirements based on the specific needs of Japanese pharmaceutical commercial teams.
• Document business requirements clearly and communicate them to the development team in both English and Japanese.
• Work closely with development teams in Japan and India to support quick and timely deployments.
• Validate development deliverables against the agreed business requirements.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before solutions are deployed to production.
• Facilitate effective communication between Japanese business stakeholders and technical development teams throughout the delivery process.

Required Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with Japanese pharmaceutical commercial Sales and Marketing business processes.
• Understanding of drug distribution processes and related data.
• Familiarity with Medical Representative (MR) day-in-the-life activities and related commercial processes.
• Understanding of marketing operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.
• Some experience working as a Business Analyst on IT or digital transformation (DX) projects.
• Experience in Power BI visualisation is nice to have.

Industry Experience

Experience or familiarity with the Life Sciences, MedTech or pharmaceutical industry is relevant to this role, particularly an understanding of Japanese pharmaceutical commercial operations across Sales and Marketing.

The role requires strong communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the ability to understand business needs, document requirements accurately and support delivery through validation and UAT.
