Overview:

Borneo Motors (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is the authorized car distributor and retailer of Toyota, Lexus, and Hino in Singapore. At Inchcape Singapore, our client operates a multi-brand vertically integrated business model, distributing and retailing world-leading marques.

Challenge:

• The client employs the Sitecore CMS engine for their corporate portals. The hosting environment is equipped with the Azure Web Application Firewall for their Azure SQL database server. The application utilizes an Azure SQL database.
• Previously, the environment was hosted on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

Solution:

To ensure secure and reliable hosting of the application, the following steps were taken:

• Created an Azure subscription in the Southeast Asia region (Singapore).
• Implemented an Azure Web Application Firewall for the application.
• Conducted server-level hardening to enhance security.
• Utilized an Azure SQL database for the application.
• Restricted remote desktop protocol (RDP) access.
• Implemented an Azure Point-to-Site VPN for secure access.
• The environment is protected with Azure Security controls and internal application controls.
• The website is secured with a 2048-bit SSL key length and TLS 1.2 cipher.
• Azure backup and recovery services have been activated for application and database backups.

Results:

• Our client has developed an application using PHP and MySQL. The application's database is hosted on the Azure Cloud platform and is managed remotely.
